Why yet another site reviewing products?

When I think about buying a new product that is a little more than I would generally spend, I seek out reviews. However, I've found that many of the reviews I find only test a product in the short term rather than state how it works over time. Some say they would buy again, but not all. Many reviews fail to note key packaging details that may decrease efficiency or how long a product will keep.

I'll be mostly rating skincare, makeup, and clothing items on a d20 scale. Products will be rated for quality, packaging, and value. Non one-use products will be rated for their effects over time, not just first time use. Any concerns with ingredients or side effects will also be noted.

Quality: How well does the product meet it's claims? Can everyone expect similar results? Does the product degrade over time? Is quality consistent across the product?
Value: Not just 'how cheap' the product is, but is what it does and the size it comes in worthy of the price tag it is retailing for? Where relevant, customer service will be included in this.
Packaging: This includes both the outer packaging/branding as well as the container the product itself is in. Is it a good design for getting the product out while also keeping it free from contaminants? Is the product easy to get out and use?

The scale: d20

1: Critical miss! This product doesn't just not deliver on results, but has undesirable effects. [e.g. holes in clothing, molding food, side effects, etc.

5: Product is below average in results and not a good value.

10: Product is average and at the expected price.

15: Good product and good value.

18: Very nice product overall. An expensive price tag or packaging issue could keep it from being a 20.

20: Critical hit! This product delivers on it's claims, is well-designed and efficiently packaged, and is a great value.

By rating products from 1-20 instead of 1-5 there is more flexibility in bringing out the nuances of a product. Some might have great results, but be so expensive that they are not affordable to anyone but the upper class. Some products might be a good value, but have packaging issues that make them hard to use. Others might work great at first, but degrade over time.
